High School Graduates Receive Education Scholarships From TFCU

Hauppauge, NY – At a recent Scholarship Awards Ceremony held at Teachers Federal Credit Union headquarters in Hauppauge, Robert G. Allen, CEO/President of TFCU, presented four $2,500 TFCU scholarships and two New York Credit Union Association (NYCUA) scholarships in the amounts of $1,500 and $500, to local graduating high school seniors. TFCU, one of the largest credit union in the country, has had a long-standing education scholarship program to support and encourage Long Island students within the communities the credit union serves. 

The following graduating high school seniors are the recipients of $2,500 TFCU scholarships: Justin Laucella of Deer Park, a graduate of St. Anthony’s High School in South Huntington who plans to attend St. John’s University and study Homeland Security; Kevin Frank Cutinella of Wading River, a graduate of Shoreham-Wading River High School who plans to attend University of Massachusetts Amherst and study Business; Siobhan Murray of Bay Shore, a graduate of Brentwood High School who plans to attend Johnson & Wales University and study Health Sciences; Kevin G. Slattery of Smithtown, a graduate of Smithtown High School-West who plans to attend Quinnipiac University and study Communications.

The $1,500 New York Credit Union Association scholarship was presented to Philip Tubiolo of Bayport, a graduate of Bayport-Blue Point High School who plans to attend Stony Brook University and study Biomedical Engineering.  The recipient of the $500 NYCUA scholarship is Renata Bruno of Kings Park, a graduate of Kings Park High School who plans to attend St. John’s University and study Quantitative Risk Management and Insurance.
